It’s time to LOL! There are only few days left to purchase your tickets for The Second City appearing at your PAC this Saturday, January 31st at 7:00 PM. We are thrilled to be presenting this terrific comedy troupe from Chicago with the help of show sponsors Weiss Heating & Cooling, Nordic Mountain, Moose Inn, and Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative. We are looking forward to a full house.
Hilarious, spontaneous, topical and insightful – The Second City is the most famous brand in live comedy. Performing a blend of classic scenes from their nearly fifty year archive, material ripped from the days headlines, and their trademark improvisation, a night with The Second City is a laugh filled, once in a lifetime event.
Alumni of this famed comedy theatre group include such recent performers as Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, and Steve Carell– as well as Mike Myers, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Martin Short, John Candy, Catherine O’Hara, Fred Willard, Chris Farley, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Harold Ramis, George Wendt, Peter Boyle, Robert Klein, Alan Arkin and more. Join us Saturday to discover the latest group of new stars to come out of this troupe. Years from now you might be able to brag that you saw Lilly Allison long before her famous impersonation of our first woman president during the 2016 campaign! A terrific dinner package in cooperation with Moose Inn is also available with this show – make an evening of it!
We are looking forward to a busy week at your PAC. On Thursday and Friday (January 29 & 30) the stage will be filled with the wonderful talent and energy of the Riverview 2nd and 3rd graders performing their annual musical. Saturday morning at 10:30 area students will be competing in the American Legion Oratorical Contest. Your PAC is a valuable resource for both adults and youth!
